Weddings can be expensive…and apparently for some, weddings can be so expensive as to require grand larceny.
A UK bride embezzled close to $750,000 from her employer to pay for her dream wedding, which included a rented-out cliffside resort, a fireworks display on the beach, and a party favor of Armani bracelets for each guest. She also bought two sports cars. She juggled her embezzled money between offshore accounts, and the theft was only discovered when she accidentally made a transfer in sterling rather than dollars.
Hopefully the lavish ceremony was worth it–she was sentenced to two years in prison.
